I was afraid to try a makeup and hair person sight unseen. I won't lie. I met Cari at the Galaxy pageant, and without even knowing her skills I loved her crazy, wild and sincere personality right away. I jumped in and signed up for hair and makeup at BOA - and the pictures show just how fab things turned out. I felt like a glamour queen. But the best part is working with her, and getting to know this lady. She is my new best buddy (along with a thousand new best buddies she's made this year, no doubt!) and I can't wait to see her again in the upcoming year. Cari is wonderful and kind and very sensitive to "you" as her client. From the moment I interacted with her via email I felt a connection by the time I met her in person I felt as though I had known her for years. Honestly, as a woman of color competing in an event where appearance is paramount, I was very concerned about my make-up and having someone I have never met "get it right". Let me tell you that Cari was a consumate professional and addressed my concerns with honesty and professionalism. She chose colors that not only complimented my outfits but also my skin tone. The end result was fabulous and I was extremely pleased.

I hired a Mac girl to do a trial run on my make up and it looked good, but then my fiance said it doesnt look like you even have make up on! But you know how men are.... so i hired Cari.... what a difference, she did REAL make up not the type you can do by yourself or say "oh I could have done that"...she does professional makeup..... i am getting my moneys worth on sunday..... if you dont wear make up (like me) you're wedding day is the day to do it... so why not do it right....... i am really relieved especially since my skin tone is so hard to match!
